Overview
ElectricAid is an ESB and EirGrid staff and retiree funded charity founded by volunteers in 1987 and inspired by the impact of LiveAid. ElectricAid has supported over 2,500 projects since then with a total value of more than €25 million.
Guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this employee-led charity from ESB and EirGrid is dedicated to delivering aid to those who need it most and creating lasting change through sustainable empowerment and funding.
Join ElectricAid Today and make a difference for people worldwide
Join ElectricAidESB and EirGrid both match their employee and retired colleagues’ donations at a ratio of 2:3. Additionally, if a donor contributes over €250 a year (i.e. €5 per week), the charity can claim a 40% Revenue refund. With this multiplier effect, an ElectricAid donation is more than doubled (€5 a week becomes €11).
Contributing in this way makes the most of your donation so imagine the impact you can make with even just a small weekly or monthly contribution!
To ensure we can continue funding worthwhile projects we need more members i.e. monthly subscribers as opposed to once off donors. No amount too big or too small – every cent counts. There are so many great reasons to sign up to be a member of ElectricAid.
How A Donation Makes A Difference
- 100% of funds reach those in most need
- We fund projects across a wide variety of charities, large and small, home and abroad
- You can be confident your money goes directly to charity projects which have been evaluated by your colleagues on the ElectricAid committee
- All donations are matched by ESB and EirGrid
- Donations that amount to over €250 per year are eligible for tax refunds - increasing the value of your donation even further
- Donations come directly from your salary.
